This red rose brooch is hand crafted from layers of duchess satin, lavishly machine embroidered and hand embellished with glass pearls and gold beads.
It represents the Red rose of Lancashire or the Lancashire Rose, a historical symbol dating from the 14th Century.
The rose measures 7cm wide and 7cm high and is presented in a 9cm square gift box.
The brooch is quite robust and durable but care is recommended when handling and storing. Water should not damage the brooch but to avoid any distortion of the fabric it is recommended that you do not submerge in water, flatten, iron or subject to high temperatures.
