This leaf brooch is made from layers of polyester fabric, machine embroidered, melted and hand painted to achieve a delicate and fragile appearance. Yet the leaves are much more robust than they look and make a beautiful adornment for a coat, dress or even pinned onto a hat. The leaves are lightweight and flexible so perfect for blouses or t-shirts but also robust enough to wear on winter coats.
The edges have been sealed so that the fabric won’t fray and the stitching won’t unravel. The reverse of the brooch is backed with soft felt and brooch pin with safety clasp.
Due to the hand-crafted nature some slight variations may occur. The leaves are flexible and can be flattened or bent into shape by hand if required.
To keep in good condition store flat or pinned somewhere safe. the brooch can be worn on a coat and will not be damaged by water. When wet, leave to air dry on a flat surface. Do not subject to high temperatures.
